Can you do Jillian Michaels Body Revolution while breastfeeding?

This is a question I asked myself before purchasing the program. The answer is definitely if you do it smart. You really need to eat way more calories than what Jillian recommends in her diet plan. Her meal plan gives you about 1200-1300 calories a day to eat, then you burn off about 300 with the workout. That leaves you with only 1000 (ish) calories for your body to function, survive, keep your body going, and make breast milk. There is no way that is enough calories.
I follow My Fitness Pal's guidelines and always eat back my exercise calories, and I have my account set to lose 1 pound a week, so I get about 1630 calories for the day (net). Some days when I burn a lot of calories I end up eating 2200 or so! Eating is so important! The way I figure it is, making milk for my baby is priority number 1! If I don't lose weight as fast as everyone else then so be it. I can work out now and build a healthy foundation and gain muscle. I lost exactly one pound at my weigh in today. I tried on pants a size smaller than I usually wear today and they FIT ME!
So I may not be losing fast, but I'm eating a lot, getting fit, and feeding my baby all atbthe same time. It can be done. You can breastfeed and do Body Revolution, just do NOT restrict your calories as much as Jillian Michaels asks you to. You can follow her meal plan (I don't) but be sure to add more food to add more calories to your diet.
This face makes me realize I'm doing the right thing by eating more calories.
ETA: since writing this post, I have upped my net calories to 1880. My girl was sick and my supply dipped a bit so 1880 is what I'm netting now (3-8-12). We will see how that goes!
