Body Revolution Day 29 of 90
Woo hoo! Almost 1/3 of the way done with my Jillian Michaels Body Revolution program and I'm feeling great. Today I actually worked in the yard in a tank top and shorts which is something I normally wouldn't do. I still don't look good in that kind of attire but I FEEL good about myself. So I said to myself I am just not going to care if someone sees me like that. Its my yard and I'm working in it and I deserve to be comfortable while doing that. It was a big step for me. I'm proud.
So today I did workout 6. Some of the moves were very hard for me. There were a lot of balance moves and balance is something I definitely need more work on. No worries. It looks like Jillian will give me plenty of practice during my Body Revolution. But, some of the moves felt so good. So in the strength workouts, there are 4 circuits in each dvd (at least so far). The last one was my favorite. Almost the whole circuit was on the floor working on abs. One of the moves was like sit ups but with weights and it felt great. Another move on an earlier circuit was a plank but you are holding yourself up on your weights. That one hurt my hands. I hope that gets easier.
The cardio intervals for workout 6 were easy, except that my most dreaded exercise, Running Man, was back. But it wasn't so terrible today. I burned 294 calories for workout 6. 34 minutes. I was dripping sweat. I loved it so much!
Where does everyone workout? I workout in our playroom. We don't have a tv in there so we use my laptop. Our dvd player in the living room doesn't work, but also the playroom gives us a bit of privacy when we have our workout time. We usually exercise at night and its the room furthest from the kids rooms so we don't wake them. Our treadmill is also in there. I like this setup.
Tomorrow is my first day doing Cardio 2 so I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure I can handle it. Jillian Michaels is so encouraging throughout each dvd. She really pushes you and makes you want to go further, but makes you feel good about yourself at the same time. She tells us we are strong and worth it. That's the kind of encouragement that I need. I love Jillian.
So here is a picture of my exercise area.
Hi Sara, I am thinking about purchasing the body revolution. I was wondering what your thoughts were on using your laptop for your workouts. Do you have any problems with running the dvd's? THank you
ReplyDeleteHi, Rebecca! No, I don't have any problems watching the dvds on my laptop. The screen is a bit smaller than I would like but its fine. Thanks for writing!
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, I stumbled across your blog (searching body revolution laptop, of all things). Kudos for you for sticking to body revolution and doing such a great job. I really admire your perseverance and will be cheering you on. I am a mom myself (ages 3 & 4) and at the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is work out. I am really inspired my you and the other mom's that I have found doing body revolution. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Kids are hard work aren't they? So rewarding though! At the end of the day I'm exhausted! I hear ya! Let me know if you end up getting Body Revolution! I would love to follow your progress.
