It came!

My Body Revolution arrived today! I am so excited! I read over a bit of the info tonight but will really read it through all the way tomorrow (today? It is after midnight here, so technically today). I am planning on starting Monday. It looks so awesome. I can't wait to start the revolution. I am ready for Jillian Michaels to kick my butt into shape.

What do you do if you miss a workout?

What do you all do if you miss a workout? I used to always start my workout routines on a Monday and aim for one rest day a week on Sunday. Well, what would happen every time is that I would start my workout routine and then somehow miss a day and then say, "oh I'll just call that my rest day." but then something else would come up later that week. So I would get so "off-track" that I would think I messed up everything and start all over again. But then starting and restarting gets old so then I would just give up! I'm so over it. I'm no longer going to do that. From now on, I'm picking a program, doing each workout on the next day that I can and moving on to the next workout no matter which day it happens to be. With three little kids and a husband that works insane hours and homeschooling and taking care of the house and taking the kids to church events several days a week and etc... it is not going to be possible for me to keep up with that Mon

Body Revolution Day 60 of 90

Cardio 3. What can I say about Body Revolution Cardio 3?? Okay. So at first I thought, sheesh this is a piece of cake. No problem. The second time doing the exercises is was a little bit tougher. But by the third time doing the exercises, I was pouring sweat and felt worn out. Each exercise is only 20 seconds. I like that because a lot of the exercises were easy, but some moves were challenging. When you only have to do something for 20 seconds, its not that bad. You can do ANYTHING for 20 seconds. A lot of the moves you have seen before but I was excited to see some new moves. I really cannot express how much I love Jillian Michaels and her workouts. She is the perfect motivator for me. Some people don't like her approach or her language. But I need her roughness. I need her to yell and tell me not to quit. I love the little speeches she gives while I'm working out. Body Revolution Day 12 of 90

I did it! I survived 2 weeks of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution! I feel strong and accomplished. I did cardio today and burned 271 calories in the 27 minutes.  Tomorrow is a rest day, but I will still be walking on my treadmill. Am I only doing Body Revolution? No, I walk on my treadmill for 30 minutes every day in addition to Body Revolution. I am also doing the Couch to 5K program 3 days a week. On those days, I don't do 30 minutes walking on the treadmill, I just do the 28 or so minutes of Couch to 5K. So basically I get an hour of exercise a day. My exercise time is my "me" time and I've grown to love it so much and crave it. My kids are so sweet but they exhaust me. An hour a day of time to improve myself is something I really look forward to. So even though tomorrow is a rest day, I will be walking on the treadmill. Monday marks the beginning of workouts 3 and 4, and it also means I'm halfway done with Phase 1. My clothes are beginning to look looser. One s
